The experiment this time: not duping and merging the linework to make it darker and more solid. I might try keeping this for lines within the same color area e.g. the chin, where parts of the legs meet the torso, while still using the dupe-merge method for where colors intersect e.g. where mane and body collide. Lighter lines on color look nice, but it makes the transition between colors look oddly sharp.
