Hi I’m the artist who made this. Lovely comments.
It’s not that deep. It may seem “shoved down your throats” or whatever bc most lgbt people, including myself, can’t talk about it at all in real life. The internet is the only safe way to express that aspect of myself for now. It’s just a gay person having fun and projecting onto a character they like. If you don’t like that, I don’t really care, no one is forcing you to click on it.
If you would ever want to join the community here, please create a profile and send me a PM and I’ll help you get set up with a verified artist profile on this site.
In the meantime, I’ve added your comment to the image’s description.

I don’t like when the only purpose is for woke points or marketing, but lgbt people simply existing in a show isn’t usually forcing anything. Representation that’s done well is important, esp. in children’s media, to reflect that the real world is very diverse and that’s ok, and they should love and accept themselves. If there was the kind of rep there is in today’s media (not that it can’t still be improved) when i was young, i wouldn’t have had to struggle with so much internalized self hatred.
I’m not good at explaining it. But like. The people who usually complain about “forced diversity” just mean anything that shows people who are different than them exist.
Me headcanoning Starlight Glimmer as a lesbian and shipping Startrix isnt forcing it on anyone. You could easily block the tags if you don’t want to see it.
There is no “gay agenda” get over yourselves please
That’s completely the point.
It’s not being homophobe or against the gay people.
It’s about the forced exposition of the gay agenda in mainstream media. Just like for example, the forced gay/lesbian shippings in every TV show just for earning more audience, including MLP.
Fishing for negative comments? I posted this on tumblr, and someone else reposted it.I didn’t think my comment came across as being outraged. Mildly annoyed it anything. Of course I’m not morally superior, like I said, it’s not that deep. This was a stupid doodle I did in 10 minutes all this isn’t worth it.
Are u L,G,B and T?
wow…
I’m a LGBT person and I think it’s obnoxious. People go out of their way to fish for negative comments (Or comments they’ll perceive as negative) so they can then act all outraged and posture. I’m sure you feel like the most morally superior Human alive in the universe now. Much better than all of these commenters, who are surely all evil strawmen.
Only one comment here was arguably homophobic, btw. The rest were just people making fun of the pretension.

Mainstream media is crap, but pride won’t be stopping anytime soon when there are still violence against homosexual people.
Regards and cheers, have a nice day
