MAD Episode: “The Hip Hop Hobbit; The Monday Project”, aired Jan 21, 2013, did a short bit called “Tinky Turner’s Self Elf Book”. One scene depicts Santa’s elves building wooden rocking horses. Two are seen as purple, with a star where a cutiemark would normally appear. Though the toy is not depicted as a unicorn, MAD has been known to do MLP parody, and has 3 other MLP parodies under their belt already. I suspect this was a quick parody reference. The blue toy looks to be similar to Rainbow Dash’s coat color, however it too uses the same star cutiemark.
