I think it did a great job highlighting the positives, and negatives of the fanbase, (thank God, it didn’t get into the “cloppers,” aside from a brief mention as a joke) and I loved seeing especially the fanbases’ “adorkable” side. ;) I was giggling all throughout it. (I think those guys bashing it, don’t realize all bronies are nerds basically. ;p So of course some of us are going to look nerdy in it. Nothing wrong with that.)
It’s especially worth seeing for the brief animated bits hosted by a singing/ryming pony caricature of John De’Lanche. ;) He was especially great in it.
Those neeeeigh-sayers bashing it need a li’l more love and tolerance. ;)
Hmmmmmmmmm. Nah.
I wasn’t trying to post an image, The “calm them titties” was directed at you as well.
Whatever image you wanted to pit didn’t show up. So I’’m just gonan post Judge Dredd….cause.
Huh?
I butchered this image, so I guess I’m the one you’re talking about? I don’t treat fanfiction like its Shakespeare. It is all a laugh, like this image.

Once again, it is a laugh. Lyle’s Dad was my favorite “character” in the documentary.
Y’all people need to calm them titties.
I too would prefer a neutral eye, look at the good and the bad with a rational view.
However we did get some neat animations. So that’s nice.
To be fair, every other “documentary” was done in an obviously negative light.
What I would have liked to see was a third-party documentary from someone not involved with MLP at all. Would have been more interesting.
There’s a lot of hypocrites, but they’ll never be swayed from their position or even become able to see how the “other side” sees things.
I usually just have a quick laugh at it and move on.
I’m guessing essentially it puts bronies in, perhaps, too much of a positive light.
Ah, there’s your issue. You think they care about their writing. You see, the Roaches don’t care about anything. I have no idea why they’re there, but they are. They are a definite minority, though. They just sit there and complain/laugh at everything. The rest of the people (read: the ones who actually try to write well) don’t act like the Roaches.
If you’re not going to go into it with an open mind, don’t even bother watching it. Basically, if you’re on this site, don’t watch it.
I hate people who make fun of others. :| Anyway, there may be alot of “bad” fanfics, but there are still likely thousands of decent to amazing fanfics out there, more than I will ever have time to read. I have no complaints.
There’s a whole group of people who like the show, the fandom material, and the art but hate the fans. It’s mainly because they lack the very social skills they make fun of others for lacking. They usually just have one bad experience and write off anyone similar to them as poison and unworthy of being in the fandom because they could be harmed by association.
Hypocrisy is hypocrisy. They make fun of “special snowflakes” for enjoying themselves at a convention, but expect actual literary criticism of their banal fanfics which are apparently so great.
Can’t tell if serious.
Generalization. Alot of people think they’re all written with bad grammar and poor characters. Seen some like that, they get appropriately ripped on.
I love fanfics, why does everyone have such a big problem with them?
>writing goddamn pony fanfiction and treating it like it’s Shakespeare
