Wished they had Luna “grew” into Celestia size or even a bit taller.
Twilight growing into Celestia-size raised a bunch of questions on Alicorn biology pretty much.
If you think a nigh-immortal being like Luna was even remotely close to a mortal like Twilight in age I have a bridge to sell you. Luna was an established princess written in history books(and I mean an actual princess, not a “Twilight princess” where like the majority of the populace didn’t recognize her as royalty).
Twilight after timeskip should’ve been a Cadence/Luna build at best.
Most likely Luna/NMM’s body was on pause or something while they were stuck on the moon.
Though mentally it looks like Luna/NMM was still conscious and aware since NMM was completely aware she was gone for a 1000 years and the whole prophecy bit when she came back.
She’s looking at Twilight’s plot and greatly appreciating it. It’s right at eye level, how can she not?
Basically sink or swim. Celestia and Luna stepped down from their rule so Twilight would have to grow into the role of being a ruler, both for her own good and for the good of Equestria to show them that change isn’t always a bad thing. It’s like parents trying to prepare their kids for the real world, and stepping back to let them prove themselves.
I still don’t get it. The idea does sound cool just from the image. But it’s not clicking for me.

…Celestia and Luna returning from their long sabbatical?
Posted it in response to someone suggesting the possibility the princesses might one day return to the throne. It’d be more in line with what everybody had been expecting to happen since season 3, and allow all three of them more free time if they divided the workload equally.
