uh….I meant the original series in the 80’s, not the movie…
..oh, well…
It makes sense. Use the popular 70s tech as a plot device. Much more fun than seeing smartphones all over the damn place.
Fun fact: The first IM client was named CB.
CBs were big in at least North America in those days… They were also used a lot in hte Dukes of Hazzard (yeeeeee-haawww!)
