Others have already pointed out why this logic doesn’t work. But if Granny Smith was still alive, don’t you think we would’ve seen her along with Big Mac, Sugar Belle, and their kid at Sweet Apple Acres during the song?
 
Now, could Granny Smith still be alive? Maybe. Maybe’s she’s still around, but we just didn’t see her onscreen. But it’s not unlikely that she passed away, given how much time has passed since Twilight’s coronation.

Plot twist: Granny Smith is actually immortal mother of all earth ponies.

Granny Smith should’ve died on season 2, it wouldn’t surprise me if she’s immortal at this point.
