Apparently, all the info on G5 is fake. According to a user named CMC Scootaloo:

Yes, all. About Generation 5, at least. The infos about Generation 4 obviously turned out as true.
That they’re faked is rather easy to figure out. The hacker claimed to have the Generation 5 files from a DHX server. DHX, however, does not make Generation 5, so it doesn’t have any Generation 5 files lying around on its servers —–> The hacker lied.

Although I’ll admit, I haven’t looked into it myself.

Honestly, so much potential for Gen 5 just from this last Episode alone (Luster Dawn as Twilight’s Student and her new Friends as main characters).

But nah, let’s just redo the Mane 6 and destroy the universe and characters we built up over 9 years.
