The Home Depot in my town has the Halloween stuff setup next to the Thanksgiving stuff next to the Christmas stuff.

Try working in the stores that do that. Our Christmas stuff has been up for a month and a half, while the Halloween stuff preceded it for a week or two, it’s not just waiting until Nov 1st, its been on clearance for two weeks now.
 
The horrible part it that its already working. People are buying this stuff at full price, enough that we’re having stock issues. Ugh.

What a glutton of a holiday…. You can like christmas all you want, by why does the media make it START early and end LATE? It overshadows everything else :(
 
They’ll put christmas shit out like six months in advance and let some of it linger for like 4 months after it actually passes. Halloween stuff only comes out like a couple of months in advance at the most, it gets overshadowed by CHRISTMAS crap, and then when october 31st actually passes, everything gets sucked away from clearance and that’s all you see if it for the next ten thousand years :(

Thanks for reminding me that the Christmas stuff has been up at work for a month now. I expect to see 4th of July junk in a week or so.
