Clearly, he is a role model for children everywhere. I’m surprised he didn’t become Equestria’s new ruler.

In case you forgot what happened when he tried to act normal for Fluttershy.
?
You make it sound like if he didn’t do what he did in season nine, he’d fade from existence.
The only true psychopath is the villains who didn’t reform, im not saying discord is the most emphatic character in the universe but a true psychopath wouldn’t care about there friend having the confidence to rule or wanting to make it up to them.
more like a psychopath
Its something a spirit of chaos would come up with not a normal person
There aren’t many crimes I can think of that are worse than what Discord did. If Discord is responsible for Grogar’s return, I’ll be PEEVED.
I hope the season 10 comics would do some justice for the royal sisters too.
Was pretty disappointed on how things went for them(especially Luna) during the finale..
No indeed. I only hope the real Grogar gives him some karmic justice.
And even if the real Grogar is a villain in the comics, that still won’t excuse for what Discord did.
I’m talking about the Discord in the other episodes. This… is clearly not Discord.
So I should hope.
Discord’s reaction to the Grogar twist and how much it ruined his character.
I kind of prefer they had it so Chrysalis isn’t like that honestly.
In the season 2 finale it can be interpreted as she’s cruel or just wanted to feed her hive.
But the other appearances I feel like they just made her unable to reform just to satisfy those who were tired of many villains reforming.
I just can’t stop imagining Chrysalis going through some sympathetic stuff when I first known about her, ok.
Its just a shame she had to be screwed over badly for the sake of “not everyone can reform” thing.
Yeah, Starlight’s redemption was a bit rushed and poorly executed, there’s no argument about that.
The thing is that Chrysalis was meant to be a cold heart villain who has no sympathy for redemption. I would have rather see her being thrown to Tartarus along with Tirek and Cozy Glow rather than petrifying her with her comrades. Reforming Chrysalis would’ve caused the same amount of drama as Discord being Grogar.
I also say what if Grogar was responsible for Luna becoming Nightmare Moon too?
Not brainwashing/corrupting her but spoke to her and made her start thinking the stuff that made her snap as NMM by telling her stuff.
That would surely be fitting, the “final” villain having a hand with the very first villain of the show.
Theres better ways of letting the trio’s fates be up to the fans like if they should reform or not than freaking turn them to stone.
In fact i think why many people were mad about Starlight’s reformation is due to it wasn’t executed right. Something was missing and that goofted things up for the whole thing.
Not the reformation itself.
Really while Chrysalis is good as a villain, I rather seeing her reform(and try to make it good than iffy) than suffering this terrible fate.

That said, it’s very definitely portrayed as something he shouldn’t have done, so it’s not like he was meant as a role model.
Actually discord has always acted his way.
Whether they’re on the wrong side or the right side, he’s always been the same.
His mean side is the consequence of his loneliness.
he gets bored is no longer able to stand the banalities of his world.
(It’s like an endless day except that it’s the generations that follow each other and do the same things as their forefathers.)
That’s why he always does things that are out of the ordinary so as not to repeat this routine.
So it is this that explains that he develops plans he wants as the others face things that come out of this ordinary.
(twilight is an example, discord actually something other than a simple copy of the princess celestia)
But it’s nice to know about his family.
Okay then…
I’m indifferent about it.
