No need to get so defensive, I just meant that with people in general, not just you, sorry.
Ok. You got me. I’m butthurt because I did a Google search. You win.
When did it? I never saw it before.
And honestly a cameo that has no bearing on the story is nothing to get butthurt over.

Werehog made a cameo in the IDW comics.
You might need to brush up on the topic.
I think you’re mixing up things I said, as I stated the Warehog came before the IDW comics, and never appeared in them. (Was in the old Archie series though. The Archie series has been around sense 1993.)
I also said the comics have had no effect on the games. They’re both different series & formats.

??? The Archie comics didn’t inspire game development either and Werehog predates IDW by nearly a decade. I think you might be mixing up dates.
You’re completely misunderstanding me.
I’m not saying Archie is that, (in fact honestly I prefer Archie Sonic over IDW) but it’s had more adaptations, references, and tie-ins. It’s been around longer, so that’s to be expected, but of course it’s done more original stories over the years then adaptations. My point was IDW has also done more original stories then adaptations, and the comics don’t effect, or inspire the game development. (And the Warehog hasn’t even been in IDW.)
And granted, that “Sonic Forces” comic from years back actually wasn’t part of the main IDW numbered issues, and more of a stand alone IDW issue, before the main series started.

You’re not making any sense. There have been 2 Sega developed Sonic games since Sega teamed up with IDW, Sonic Forces and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed. Both received IDW tie ins.
Your argument is that the Archie series was just a cross-promotional platform and the IDW series isn’t because… the IDW series hasn’t had as many games to tie in with?
While the long-lasting Archie series ended, the new current IDW series is much different.
Frankly, the Archie series had more game/cartoon tie-ins. (One of the first issues was a “Sonic Spinball” tie-in.) Archie even published a short-lived “Sonic Boom” comic series for awhile, as well as a “Sonic X” one a decade ago.
The new IDW series (confusingly also called just “Sonic the Hedgehog” like the Archie series) hasn’t done that many game adaptations, aside from the series taking place after the events of “Forces,” and a “Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed,” stand alone issue, not part of the main IDW comic.
Sega nuked the old American comics a few years ago and the recent comics were video game/cartoon tie-ins. I’m not exactly sure what you’re talking about.
I honestly don’t mind if they do, or not. (Also, the American Sonic comics have no effect, nor inspiration on the Japanese games. We don’t have Tangle or Sally in the games yet, despite fans begging for them to be put in.)
In fact, some fans like the Warehog design. It’s not the worst alternative version of a character in gaming.
I donno. I’ve read the recent Sonic comics and they’re doing a zombie (robot) arc. I wouldn’t put it past Sega to bring back Werehog.
Ironically, I see some say the Warehog levels were more enjoyable then the daytime stages in Sonic Unleashed.
…Plus, that game is kinda old now, so it’s like beating a dead horse.
