No. Spike’s always been part of the Mane 6. In next to every Mane 6 episode, Spike is one of them. Starlight isn’t. She’s basically been turned into an outcast from the friend group.
@Background Pony #B179
Not more episodes that were centred around her specifically. I’m talking about Starlight-centred episodes, not just episodes with Starlihgt in.
YES! This is exactly the kind of fast-paced superpower action I wish we’d had throughout the series. Here’s hoping the season finale will be packed with it!
@PurpleWonderPower
So for one measly season, Starlight has been experiencing what Spike’s role has been for the first two seasons and a few scattered episodes thereafter. Boo-hoo.
@PurpleWonderPower
I’d say 7 was just right. She had as much screen time as every other main character. She had just as much as Fluttershy, who had the least screentime of the Mane 6.
@PurpleWonderPower
Too much Starlight in season 6?? Did they not watch it? She really wasn’t used much there. Outside the premier and the finale, she was only in 4 other episodes.
@Background Pony #9B72
A balance between the two, obviously. One was too much Starlight, the other was too much Mane 6. What I want is an even amount. Was that not pretty obvious?
@PurpleWonderPower @Background Pony #9B72
This is why the show ending now is a good thing before it descends into the issue of having to cover an exponential number of characters like the Simpsons fell into. Side characters help with some story ideas, but then you get the question of who becomes the focus of the series.
@PurpleWonderPower
First people complain about season 6 and 7 being more about Starlight than the Mane 7, now people are complaining about seasons 8 and 9 being more about the Mane 7 than Starlight. What is it that you want?
@Background Pony #EB27
She’s been shunned to the side a great deal this season. It’s all been about the Mane 6, never Starlight. She’s supposed to be one of them, but she’s been left out of every single one of their episodes.
