That is understandable, we see some older ponies (Twilight’s parents especially) and they don’t look that old.
Because she got with a man who was constantly wandering the country so settling down would take time.

They’re like in theirs forties and fifties, dude.

Fuck, this is both beautiful and hard to see. Beautiful because they got their happily ever afters…hard because our little ponies are all grown up and we might never see them again. :(

Which means they’re older than their mothers now, which probably means it’s been 20-30 years and they’re in their fifties and sixties

I agree. I understand they needed something to make them look older, but even without the lines I think it’s already obvious enough they’re older.
