¿Por que no Los dos?
People drink for many reasons. Trying to blame it /all/ on peer pressure and /none/ on ads is quite absolutist isn’t it? I just thought I’d point that out. I’m not saying you’re wrong in general principle, merely giving my 2 cents.
Edited
People don’t drink and smoke because of ads; they drink and smoke because of pressure from their peers. Ads can only convince them that a particular brand is what they want, not that they should take up the habit in the first place.
Expecting a consistent stance is not a strawman. Your stance on foalcon applies equally to the art you like, which can be judged from your favourites, and includes rape and murder as erotic interests.
Your stance is complicated: it requires that you hold some art depicting foalcon up as “glamourising” paedophilia in a way that creates new paedophiles, yet somehow excludes art that depicts rape - a fetish you apparently enjoy - from that same level of influence over the viewer. You claim yourself exempt from the thing that you wish to hold against others.
My stance is simple: art does not do these things. Art may provoke responses in people and may surface existing paraphilias in the viewer, but art does not cause paraphilias and does not turn the viewer into a practitioner of those paraphilias. I don’t believe depictions of rape turn people into rapists, nor to I believe depictions of foalcon turn people into paedophiles.
Now. As I’ve said twice in this thread, and as you’ve been told numerous times already, filter the content you do not wish to see. You had to take a deliberate action to see it in the first place by changing your filter, so you are aware that filtering is possible. Add the tags and then stop whining that people like weird shit you don’t like.

There’s a thread here that might appreciate that question. I obviously wouldn’t know why people like lolicon or foalcon, but someone there probably could answer. I know why I like what I like, mostly, and it’s not because I saw someone draw it.
Okay, maybe it won’t turn them into pedophiles, but it glamorizes it, and that’s the problem here. If the site glamorizes it, more people will get into it. Look at the 1950s and all those smoking, people started chain smoking cause they thought it was good for their health. Look at drinking ads, people think drinking is cool so they begin to drink. What this is, is enabling, or in other words supporting the addiction.
Doesn’t help you literally tried to use the straw man tactic of debate on me, only for it to fall apart like… Straw, instead of properly questioning the point.
They might not become pedophiles, which I made clear in my posts, but glamorizing it is just as bad, not only that, but it BRINGS pedophiles here for the content.
Might not apply to “drowning murders” or “animal abuse”, but it applies to pedophilia and it’s well documented history
Is it the taboo aspect? The innocence aspect? Size?
I’m blowing things out of proportion? I’m not the one calling people paedophiles because they like drawings. Hell I don’t even like foalcon, I don’t like half the shit that gets uploaded here, but I also know that this idea that art will turn people into paedophiles (or drowning murderers and animal abusers) is utter bullshit.
Stop complaining about things you don’t want to see and use your filters. Jesus christ.
Exactly.
It’s the basis of addiction. Nicotine addiction, alcohol addiction, you name it. This isn’t an exception. In a way, this could also be used for hard drugs, it depends on how strong your will is.
And what do we do when somebody has addiction? We get them help.
Now you’re blowing this out of proportion.
Let’s treat it like this, your brain is a garden and the concepts of it is a seed. Follow with me here.
If you like an image of foalcon and other images like it, you like a image of rape or murder or whatever, a seed is planted in your head.
There’s one of two things that can happen.
First, absolutely nothing, maybe you just liked that one image, you walk away, seed probably goes away eventually if it’s neglected enough. Maybe it just becomes a sapling but you simply move on from it.
Or… For weaker minds, that seed gets it’s needs, and begins to grow, it manifests, it becomes a sapling, but it needs more, and you find more questionable sources, going from fowlcon to loli and so on. The roots begin to dig deeper if action isn’t taken, it could develop into a full blown mental disorder. It’s no longer a fetish, it crossed from fiction into reality. And it begins to affect your life, the way you function. And that could either become a mental breakdown or a first degree felony.
While the fetishes you bring up might not correctly apply, realize the main fetish we’re talking about is linked to a classified mental disorder, and can proceed to affect somebodies life and how they function or worse victims of that man with this mental illness if he snaps.
I’m holding you to your own standard. If liking art foalcon (an unreal thing that doesn’t exist) makes the viewer a paedophile, then liking art of drowning makes the viewer a wannabe murderer and liking bestiality makes the viewer a horsefucker.
Are you these things? If I take your position, then I must conclude that you are. Or I could take the position that it’s all just art, none of it is real, and liking it is no more an indication of a person’s predilections in the real world than liking the art of H.R. Giger.
What moral high ground? Just because I think it’s wrong doesn’t make me morally superior.
And by the logic, yes, if you like the images of it, you like the concepts of it. Whether or not you would do those in real life depends on your mental state. What’s your point?
By the same token you like the concepts of rape, drowning women for sexual pleasure and - lets not forget, because of where we are - bestiality.
Don’t try and pull your moral highground shit here. Learn to use the tools available to hide the content you obviously don’t wish to see.
No it literally just says you like the concepts of pedophilia.
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Liking foalcon means you like fiction. It has nothing to do with anything even remotely real.
Oof
Liking foalcon doesn’t make you a pedophile.
It says you like pedophilia.
But Derpi mods actually like defending it due to either their sexual fetishes, or more likely, their political beliefs.
Eh. I get you’re joking but i feel the need to disprove you anyway. Loli fetishes are actually not that popular overall, it just feels that way when you’re all wrapped up in the porn space.
There are two types of people on here: people that love foalcon and liars.
Liking foalcon doesn’t make someone a pedophile. It means they have a weird fetish, like half of everyone else imm the internet. Just sayin.
You like foalcon?
Damnit i liked you from what i saw od your comments :(
