I just found it particularly odd they didn’t have the eyelashes more pronounced on the top. The original kind of just has this fleshy skin nearly replacing the eyelashes.

Yeah, they have a ways to go if they want to make stuff look as good as 2D, starting with not trying to achieve everything with just “true” 3D (ie. you should create fake outlines and shades instead of relying on the model and lighting alone).
