this looks more realistic… also fun fact: on older TV sets if you turn the channel to where you are BETWEEN stations, about 1% of the snow and noise is the background radiation from the big bang
That does bring a funny thought to mind, how tropes revolving around old analog tech are likely going to stick around long after they make sense in part because they either have not proper digital equivalent or because their digital counterpart can’t be communicated as well.
