Thorax used to be for Spike.
In my opinion, ponies need to be compatible for it to work. A slob with Rarity, for example, wouldn’t work, they’d drive each other crazy in short order. Discord and Fluttershy work because Fluttershy is accepting of almost all his quirks while he actually turns it down when with her, without losing too much in the process.
I think it doesn’t matter if two characters are too similar or too different to become a couple. What’s important is “do they like each other, faults and all.” Are there any other characters on the show as thirsty as Starlight is for Sunburst? Discord for Fluttershy maybe?
They went together so well two seasons ago.
Only thing i could from this is Sun is unfamiliar with Twilight at her worst.
But, it’s not like I don’t have backup ships.
I fail to see why these two wouldnt be a nice couple… (i have my own fleet of ships. Starlight only belongs to one person imo)
Anyway… its not uncommon to see different sided minds actually work together. :/ i guess it just depends on what you’ve actually seen.
Ponies who fail to understand each other’s mindset REALLY don’t well together on a ship in stormy weather!
