Don’t get me started on how badly written Starlight’s “Redemption” was. It’s even worse in retrospect, now that we know she went nowhere as a character. Sure, she got things handed to her. The show’s finale is probably going to waste a lot of time on her. But nothing interesting was done with her as a character. Most fans don’t like her and barely anyone buys her toys, so they phased her out in favour of the Student Six.

[What’s the point in trying to “Reinterpret” what I said when my post now says [COMMENT DELETED FOR OFFENDING GLIMMER FANS]?

I’ll word what I said in a nicer manner, as if that’ll make a difference to people who think dissent is bad behaviour but childish insults aren’t.

Does the Starlight Glimmer Defense Brigade really think abusing these people will make them dislike this fictional horse less?

1. Starlight Glimmer is a “Controversial” character because she’s a great idea with a ton of potential executed very poorly.  
2. This “No criticism of starlight glimmer is allowed! None! Criticism of Glimmer is Verboten, or as we say now, Drama! That means we can bully you and blame you for making us want to bully you! OP is a BadLabel, OP is FairGame, OP is a loser and it’s ok to abuse him!” policy is a stupid one because it stops fans of FIM from talking things out and settling their differences peacefully.  
3. Good fans don’t abuse other fans, regardless of their opinions on the media they’re a fan of.  
4. Bad fans abuse others because they want to bully others while looking like “The biggest and best” fans. That’s what I said when I brought the concept up, don’t project.  
5. Bad fans need Jesus. If SJWs found Jesus, they’d stop being SJWs.

   Do you know how the Sonic fandom sustained itself for years, even as Sega released shit Sonic game after shit Sonic game? Sonic fans allowed other sonic fans to say “This game sucks”, because that eventually evolved into “Here’s how I’d do this game better”, which eventually evolved into “Here’s a fan project I made to prove my ideas are good”.
    
   That’s why the Sonic fandom has Sonic Utopia, Sonic World, and multiple different Actually-Good 3D sonic engines anyone can use for fangame development. The sonic fandom allows dissent and creativity.
    
   That’s right. I’m officially saying the modern Brony fandom would be a better fandom if it took moral lessons from the Sonic fandom. I miss 2012 too.
