Yeah, that’s right! Because you have to pay for your sh&tty lives for the crime of trying to conquer the Equestrian world!!

The thing that was summoned to beat them makes all those things in Equestria look like parlor tricks. Most enemies’ powers don’t even survive the Humane 7 transforming all at once, let alone merging their powers at full strength. Adagio by her lonesome was stronger then Twilight amplified by Rainbow Power.

I’m not saying they would fair much better in Equestria, once it was summoned they lost by a landslide and despite their strength they are only 3 of them, but the thing the Humane 7 can summon is way stronger then anything Equestria has. It could defeat a full power Grogar with little effort whatsoever.

I wonder if the Dazzlings would be willing to give up their evil ways if it meant they could return to Equestria. As you pointed out they’d pretty much have to anyway or be obliterated.

I’m just not sure if they actually miss home more than gaining power or if they only see the former as a means to the latter.

@Flummoxed Phoenix
Now, they’d have to deal with the Two Sisters, the Pillar of Equestria, and the Elements of Harmony. It would be a one sided beatdown.

It’s true they aren’t aware of these developments. But there’s also the return of Grogar and his recruitment of the other villains. They could possibly join his side if he was able to repair their gems.

Wallet After Summer Sale -

The Dazzling do NOT want to go back to Equestria. They think they do, but they don’t. Last time they were there, they had the run of the place until they were banished. Now, they’d have to deal with the Two Sisters, the Pillar of Equestria, and the Elements of Harmony. It would be a one sided beatdown.

They know the magic is Equestrian in origin and the events that transpired at the Fall Formal(they partially witnessed it themselves). Not that hard to put the pieces together given that Sunset’s actions directly led to - more - magic coming into that world. It should be obvious to them now that the magic’s source orginated with one or more of the rainbooms given how they were the ones able to use it. Its the simplest and most logical conclusion. But even if they don’t know that particular detail their situation remains the same.

They never explicitly state the extent of their information. For a series that relies so much on exposition it’s surprisingly vague on this matter. Then again the whole workings of magic is pretty vague in EqG. It’s quite mysterious.

As for the portal there’s not enough to go on yet. Speculating on what the Dazzlings might consider worth risking in a hypothetical situation isn’t going to lead to anything very conclusive. It can’t be presumed what their actions would be in circumstances they haven’t even encountered yet.

I don’t even know if they were aware that Sunset and Twilight were from Equestria. All they seem to know for sure is that the Rainbooms have magic somehow and what Sunset did in the past.

I can’t imagine they knew about the portal. If they did, even if they weren’t sure where exactly in equestria it’d lead, they’d probably consider it worth the risk.

Perhaps. Remember that when Sunset confronted them in the hallway they told her they knew all about her and her past from speaking with the rest of CHS. Of course depending on where they got that information from and how detailed it was they may not know about the portal itself per se.

Besides, they still probably wouldn’t know where the mirror is located in Equestria or if they could access it themselves. Even if they did they probably wouldn’t want to end up inside Twilight’s castle surrounded by more potential foes. I don’t think they’re that desperate yet.

Since the statue is supposedly still damaged and leaking magic, they could possibly exploit that. It doesn’t appear they know of what occurred during the Friendship Games or at Camp Everfree. They probably don’t want to go anywhere near there after losing the battle of the bands so decisively. Adagio accepted the fact that she lost… But she might change her mind if the right opportunity came around.

There’s the discovery of the other portal(s?) too. But it seems they are too disparate to be easily found. For now.
Knight Of Proteus

There is one thing that happens in both the book and special Sunset never tells the Dazzilings about the portals and probably never will.
Unless the show up in another book or special where that happens

I find it amusing that the three sirens are so interested in returning to Equestria given their banishment. Assuming they still have the same objective in mind as they did 1000 years ago, taking over Equestria would be even more difficult now. Though I suppose there’s no way for the sirens to know how much has changed.

Maybe they’re just homesick. But if they want power then their odds are still better in a world with far fewer defences against dark magic. But right now they’re effectively neutralized.
Background Pony #8029
There are probably a dozen portals in different locations that could lead them back to Equestria and would be told about it soon
