No, it sounds impossible.

For the sake of argument let's say that the distance between ponyville and there house is roughly the size of New York, NY to Andes, NY.

144.3 mi or 232 Km.

There would be a train to and from there that would take roughly 4 hours to get there.

Considering the logistics, how many employees need to be payed for maintenance of the tracks, ect

You would want to have a damn train run more often than once a goddamn month.

Or you know, her aunts could always fly to ponyville to drop in on her anytime they want.

You also ignored the fact that they were surprised. They were supervised both times when they went camping, when they went to fluttershy's house, appaloosa, everywhere.

And again you are ignoring how she was clearly loved by them the entire time.
