I see. Us fans make it so easy for them to interact and get along with each other. But considering their line of work, it would make sense that they don’t usually have free time together.  
Its good to see that despite their arguments, they love and respect each other so much to keep things from being too toxic. I can just see them pouting next to each other with them muttering “I love you.” “I love you too.”

I think they usually do get along, but their underlying issues are bound to reoccur at times, especially given how we know they don’t actually interact as much as one might think outside of official work (what with Luna normally being asleep during the day, Celestia asleep at night). The fact is Celestia and Luna don’t have much in common while at the same time they both have a lot of pride and strong personalities, and that combination means there is always going to be some degree of conflict in their relationship. The key is that they keep the conflict constructive and not let it undermine their love for each other as sisters.

No, it’s not. And they do. Usually. These are the few days out of hundreds a year in which they fight.

Is it wrong that I personally thought Celestia and Luna should usually get along once they got back together?

On a serious note, I loved all the little nuances in the way their argument went, all the references to their past and their still existing resentment toward each other. In particular it was nice to hear how Celestia felt about having to handle so much on her own for a thousand years while at the same time blaming herself over Luna’s corruption.
