The three RGB-colored video connectors carry brightness information, each on a dedicated color channel. There are also two audio cables (red and white) just like with RCA.
It can actually do up to 1080i, but the Wii can’t support that.
Heh I barely remember that kind of connector, does it need that many connectors just to do 720p?
Also when I consider digging out my Wii, I need to consider just how many games I missed out while I was immersed into the PS3, PSP, PS Vita, DS and 3DS’s.
Edited
Nope, five plugs color-coded (except there’s a red for video and a red for audio, cable makers haven’t decided on a single way to distinguish between them).
IIRC the Wii doesn’t do much anti-aliasing with a wide-screen format, though, so you can either have sharp and jagged 720 or fuzzy interlaced 480.
Edited
Is that the video and audio out that is combined into what looks like a normal “headphones” connector?
They made a Component (RGB+RW) output for the Wii.
The only ancient Nintendo consoles that I have in my possession is my original Nintendo Gameboy, my small collection of Nintendo DS’s and my Wii that I haven’t powered on in a long time, mostly because I don’t have anything to plug in RCA video and audio connectors to. :p
There’s also the option of finding an actual SNES cartridge cheap. I kinda prefer playing an actual SNES.

Disney and Shout Factory did release the full “Gravity Falls” show on a set DVD, so hopefully, they’re getting better about that.
I remember their first Duck Tales DVD set didn’t even have the multi-parter begining episode arc “pilot” included. They included it in the second one istead, even labelling it’s inclusion on the box.

The Aladin SNES cart was one of those games that I always played on other people’s systems but never had my own copy, maybe I’ll try to track down the rom for once… hopefully it won’t be too hard, considering the state of affairs that emuparadise is in.
Disney is horrible about releasing their TV stuff in general, though, so don’t really surprise me. For some reason they LOVE releasing one or two DVDs for about a quarter of the series, and then just… stopping, for whatever reason. And that’s if you get any release at all.
No idea why. It’s very annoying.
@Lord Of Dorkness
I’m surprised they haven’t rereleased “Aladdin the series” on DVD either as other ’90s & ‘80s Disney syndicated shows were. It was quite popular, and had Jason Alexander (Seinfeld) as an amusing villain.
@Ping_chan
The Capcom SNES Aladdin game actually had a bizarre (yet fun) level based inside Genie’s lamp, and it was quite spacious.

While trying to think back how much of that show I did watch, I do now recall that it had a pretty awesome opening theme song.
That was during the early to mid 90’s when cartoons were awesome.
@ABronyAccount
I vaguely recall an episode where Aladdin and The Genie had to hide from something nasty in the lamp as a last ditch type thing, and Genie was getting extremely freaked out from being even semi stuck inside of it again but even more cramped this time. Leading to some pretty tense ‘will it work, or will Genie lose his cool?’ type drama.
Been literal decades since I saw that show. Could be my mind playing tricks on me.
Do vividly recall the series was damn good and deeply wish Disney would just release it on DVD already, though!
I can’t remember, despite making a point of watching that show almost religiously at the time.
Well if no one else is using those things anymore… Well besides Chrysalis… But the rest of the changelings don’t use them anymore.
@ABronyAccount
Did the cartoon TV series for Aladdin ever show what it was like inside the Genies lamp?
Something tells me that it was a lot more spacious on the inside.
That’s why Muffins lives in a changeling cocoon.
PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER!!!!!!
… itty-bitty living space
The Great and Powerful Trixie has always believed that you cannot judge how great and powerful a pony is by the size of her house.
Trixie is a great and powerful pony that dislikes huge unnecessary houses and finds it quite comfortable to live in a small and useful mobile home.
She doesn’t live there for her concern for the environment, she lives there because she doesn’t make enough money per show to crash on a hotel.
Life is harsh.
