Description
speculative map on where the Human World counterparts of other places in the Equestria world would be i they had a place in the human world. These are only some locations since the rest are just parodies or puns on real world locations. Some places such as Kirin Grove, would work best as districts in Canterlot.
Have some descriptions for three of such locations:
Klugetown - A ghost town in the deserts of Arizona. unlike it’s Equestrian counterpart, the town was eventually abandoned long ago due to the dust bowl in the 1930s. Town was an illegal settlement founded by outlaws and all manner of bad men in the West and was also abandoned after the law (and the army) got involved. Largely reliant on barter economy due to the scarcity of resources in such a remote and isolated area.
Griffonstone - A Town in the UK, founded during the Middle ages by Griffons stranded in the Human World. It’s main point of Interest: Griffonstone Hall, which was originally constructed in the 18th century.
Hippogriffia - A Coastal Fishing town in Massachusetts. Rumour has it that the Oldest families and inhabitants of the town are Human-fish hybrids borne as a result of the town’s founders falling in love and coexisting with a race of Merfolk and that said merfolk are responsible for the town’s wealth and prosperity.
As for Why there are three settlements close to each other with the word “Canter” In them. A notable Canterlot resident once stated “Our Founders really were an unimaginative lot when it comes to naming things.”
NOTE: Big Thunder is meant to be a reference to Big Thunder Mine, which in turn is a reference to the Disney ride, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
