There also do exist skinny people with high cholesterol rates, and such. So it comes down to diet, and there are some plump people whom exercise, and such.
I remember a Plus-size model was being verbally harassed, and told to “stop eating/exercise,” but ironically she stated she eats lots of vegetables, and a decent diet, and does exercise. She wasn’t really as huge as the trolls acted like she was anyway.
For instance, I have been consistently over BMI 35 since I was 20yo. I’m now 37. Apart from the problems that are caused by my failing immune system (which are not weight-related, but genetic), all I have are occasional minor aches or pains in my joints.
Yeah, being underweight can be quite detrimental in a number of situations, as well as just overall providing little to no advantages for survival.
Yes, but Northern is asking about underweight people.
@northern haste
In most cases it’s easy to just “work through” being heavier, but a lack of vital nutrients can cause you to just randomly drop dead.
Plus a lack of proper nutrition is far faster damaging over time whether you’re overweight or under.
I guess what I’m saying is, it’s in eating right, not in how much.

Actually, people who’re considered obese have the same life expectancy as someone whose weight is considered average, and people who’re considered overweight but not obese have a longer life expectancy.
It encourages people to starve themselves.I might be wrong but isn’t being underweight worse than being overweight?
Yeah, some act like if somebody is 2 pounds “overweight” they’re “omg too huge, u must lose weight!” which is very annoying.
Some claim “body shaming” is a “good thing,” because it encourages people to lose weight, and be more healthy, but in reality, it just upsets people, gives them low self-esteem, or makes them believe they’re “beyond getting healthy, so why bother?,” so it’s not really as beneficial as they think.

@Beau Skunky
I do remember being quite happy when I heard that magazines going to start using a less skinny models. Fortunately body shaming still goes on me and my sister were at some clothes shop saying that one size fits all and they were all skinny
