I wasn’t disagreeing with you. That part of the comment was saying I agree with you on that one.
If I was accusing you of being anti-Starlight in this case, then why would the wording be “As for Starlight, yes, she pretty much did nothing wrong this episode?”
Edited
To be fair, Rugrats was a kids show and it had blood in one episode.
I never said Discord was in the right! My entire argument was that he deserved to get blasted! If you agreed with me on that…why are you even arguing with me?
And again, an annoying misadventure that leaves you disheveled ≠ being in truly mortal danger.
I’ll repeat myself: they could’ve easily thrown in a line like “we barely got out of that Discord!” if they wanted to imply they almost didn’t make it out alive, but they didn’t.
This isn’t up for debate, in my opinion.
As for Starlight, yes, she pretty much did nothing wrong this episode, and the sentiment that I’ve seen from one or two people that Discord was unequivocally in the right because he insulted a character they didn’t like? Just… no, that’s not how it works.
Edited
They can make it pretty damn morbid.
Again, they’re more annoyed and don’t look to be in any pain. Remember how Twilight looked in Feeling Pinkie Keen? THAT IS WHAT INJURED LOOKS LIKE
Also you forgot the part where “heather” made it look like she was going to get people killed!
Did you not even read my comment? I just told you why they can’t show blood!
And again They are covered in scratches and mud, have their hair all mess!
What? No I’m not! All I’m saying is that Starlight was in the right the whole episode! Yet somehow we have to feel sorry for discord despite all the horrible things he did.
You are really exaggerating the inconvenience into something serious. The writer of that episode herself said Discord would never send Fluttershy anywhere dangerous. So you are trying to be more right than the creators.
All your proving is that discord needs to have his head on a pike…
Literally zero blood and bruises. They’ve killed characters in this show, try harder. At worst Discord put them through some physically daunting tasks. They aren’t remotely injured. no limps, no blood, no bruises.

He’s not worried about his appearance. Everyone knows he’s a jerk.
He’s trying to ruin Glimmer’s appearance and he succeeded. It doesn’t matter if she tried. I’ll give you a comparison that is real life.
I’m a land lord (let’s call me Glimmer). I own two properties. All of my tenants are kind and respectable except Heather. Heather is a shit disturber (let’s call her Discord). I’ve done everything for Heather, I’ve fixed all issues for her. EVEN ISSUES THAT AREN’T REQUIRED(aren’t safety hazards). I’ve put in a garden for her and a myriad of other things (I’ve given her paint, but she won’t paint the room she wanted painted, I gave her a sink because the last sink had some imperfections, but she hasn’t put it in, I gave her grass seed because she complained about the lawn not being a lush green, but she can’t be bothered to spread the seed ((she’s unemployed I’d like to add)), I gave her a dandelion remover, but she hasn’t used it once, I put in a staircase for her, I fixed the insulation for her, I fixed her floor (outside door), installed a doorbell, outside light, etc you get the picture).
And when I asked her to let me do a routine house inspection that’s outlined in the lease you know what she said? “You have no right to do any inspections, I’m sick of seeing you guys (when the only reason we come is to address her complaints) go fuck yourself I’m sick of you having your power trips”
Now, I know for the sake of your argument you’re going to take Heather’s side. Imagine I use Glimmer’s resolution EVEN THOUGH HOLY SHIT HAVE I TRIED SO HARD and I smack Heather out of the apartment and banish her for eternity? Was that the correct move?
The answer is no. She’d sue the hell out of me for my unprofessionalism and assault and she’d win pure and simple.
Edit: I screwed up and didn’t attribute Discord and Glimmer on to each. I trust you can do that yourself.

Yeah, except no.
They are covered in scratches and mud, have their hair all messy and look miserable as hell. They’ve clearly been though hell. So he did in fact let harm come to them!
Also, of course there’s no blood, it’s a kid show!
No.
Literally not one drop of blood on them
@Background Pony #EE78
I’d agree with this. Discords is a troll, but he wouldn’t let actual harm come to the mane 6 or the student 6. No way. No chance.

I mean, they could’ve easily thrown in a line like “we barely got out of that Discord!” or something like that, if that was the implication, but they didn’t.
They look pretty roughed up to me
And as for “start killing for no good reason”, seeing how inconsistently written he is…Yeah.
Explain where this was implied? They seemed irritated that they were sent on an annoying wild goose chase, not like they were truly being endangered by something they couldn’t handle.
If he didn’t kill the Mane Six instantly in his debut, take out the threat they posed to him, why was he gonna start killing for no good reason well after reforming?
Quite frankly, I’m kind of convinced that the “Bugbear” and “Ursa Major” were illusions controlled by Discord. In fact, he might’ve invisibly tripped Yona to perfectly coincide with Starlight appearing, make a false sense of urgency, hence also explaining why the Bugbear was “scared off” after one good magical hit (aside from Starlight not being the type to pull her punches): it wasn’t real in the first place.
If that sounds implausible, remember just how powerful and versatile Discord is, and that he is a talented manipulator/trickster.
Now, does that make Discord great in this particular case for “only” making them think they were endangered? No.

“he wanted Starlight to look bad for resorting to those means”
How does that make Him look any better? That makes him look even worse!
And again, She tried numerous other methods before and after hand!
“Discord would never hurt the students”
If he was willing to send the main 6 (Including Fluttershy) on a mission where they nearly got killed (and mentally Scarred) I’m pretty sure he would have no problem trying to hurt the students…
“you think he can’t undo an physical injury with a snap of his fingers”
Again, that doesn’t make him look better.
Oh I cut off your arm? Don’t worry I can just put it back. No hard feeling right?
Ya really. Regardless of the reason, she resorted to a violent banishment spell to force Discord from the school. He let it hit, instead of easily dodging like he did against Tirek precisely because he wanted Starlight to look bad for resorting to those means.
@MrtheamazingDude
Discord would never hurt the students. If he ever had that mentality he would’ve done it by now and gotten turned to stone again. He released an URSA MAJOR and a BUGBEAR and not a single student or teacher got so much as a scratch.
Coincidence? Nope. He was waiting for Starlight to bail out the students and had she not, he would’ve poofed the Bugbear away. He can also warp reality, you think he can’t undo an physical injury with a snap of his fingers? Get real.
Not really.
