Honestly, Zoroark is probably a better comparison for Renamon. They’re both foxes and are both heavily inspired by the Kitsune in Japanese folklore. Lucario is basically a Jackal and has more inspirations with Egyptian stuff like Anubis and Egyptian boxing.
I don’t know some of them, like the big crazy god-looking ones that come out of pokeballs. I of course know like Pikachu and Charizard and stuff :D

I sort of just got burned out by them. They’re all pretty samey, you know? :D
I dropped out after Crystal, myself. I’ve kept vaguely connected for obvious reasons, though.
I don’t know any Pokemon that aren’t in Smash Bros.
To be fair too I’m fairly unfamiliar with Pokemon beyond like Generation 3 or so, and have never been familiar with Digimon, so I’m purely going by appearance XD
I couldn’t even see the Rena in it because of how hard the Shadow the Werehog vibe was.
If any character is trying to be Renamon it’s Zoroark; it’s basically a Shadow the Hedgehog version of Renamon :P

It might have been. There are quite a few Pokemon based off of yokai (Among others, Froslass is based off of the yuki-onna).
