Too true. And yet the correct flavor is so exquisite, it’s worth doing right/seeking out where it’s done right.
I still remember my first red velvet cupcake - it was from Sprinkles and I had it at a friend’s house back when I was in high school. So very, very rich and wonderful. It’s still the standard by which I judge red velvet on.
And when done wrong it becomes one of the worst, easily. Red velvet’s not easy to make at all.
Oohh, maybe you’ll finally have dragonbreath that can turn any dragon into stone!!
