Snips: “What am I doing with my life?”
Snails: “You’re riding through the air in a basket full of bits.”
Snips: “…You’re right, Snails. Greedy fantasies now, growing up later.”
Greetings, sports fans! Welcome back to the fan comic playoffs during the Season 9 Retirement Party! This week’s comic is based on Common Ground, aka: “Revenge of the Oswalts: the Episode”. Yes, the elusive French Chef Rat has snuck back onto the set, and this time he brought his whole family. It’s pretty cool to hear all 3 of them giving a performance together like this, and the episode written around them really resonated with me, mainly because my parents got divorced a long time ago and I’ve been in Wind Sprint’s position many times. This feels like one of those episodes where the moral is made more for adults than it is for children, and episodes like this make it hard for me to believe that this show’s target demographic is necessarily what Hasbro says it is.
You know, I actually find Snips and Snails to be pretty endearing. They don’t show up or do things to often in the show, or even in the fandom (especially Snips), but they have good chemistry and it’s fun to see them getting into trouble. I guess people figure if they want to see troublemaking children then that’s what the CMC are for, and they are more entertaining overall, but Snips and Snails have a different dynamic, kind of like Ed, Edd, n Eddy but without any Edd to keep them grounded, and I tend to enjoy their scenes on the rare occasion they have them.
Hope you can see eye to eye with those you care about, and always be yourself! Looking forward to the next episode!

Ignorance is bliss
Snailfucius says: It can’t bother you if you don’t bother to think about it.
Spike has grown wings, catalyzed the reformation of the entire changeling race, was briefly lord of all dragons, is a renowned hero in the Crystal Empire, and has come to terms with his unique familial relationships and place in society. He may still make several mistakes he probably shouldn’t, but compared to Snips, Spike has been a lot better off in terms of development.
…for all the good they’ve done him.
At least Spike had his share of wins
@PonyPon
He really hasn’t been given love. It felt weird just hearing him again…
