Moondancer: “Okay, yes, I do feel kinda bad for doing that, but I was still really mad at her back then! I was gonna give it back if she ever apologized, but by the time I did even I forgot I had it! …Look, if you think about it, its her own fault for thinking she already returned it when she couldn’t find it while moving to Ponyville permanently! And I did return the book where I found it… eventually…”
Don’t be late returning to the Season 9 Retirement Party! This week’s comic is based on The Point of No Return, aka: “Good Grief, Twilight Left a Lot of Unresolved Baggage Back in Canterlot, Didn’t She?: the Episode”. Things are finally back to normal in pony land with a traditional example of Twilighting in action. G.M. Berrow once again writes an episode about books, and much like Amending Fences, we expand on an inconsequential action from the series premiere and make a whole episode about it. Nothing to crazy, but still pretty fun.
I don’t know what about this episode inspired me to make yet another long-con-conspiracy comic, but this is what I came up with. I guess I wanted to justify Moondancer’s appearance in the episode a bit more, as she’s a good character with a tragic story and we really don’t see much of her. And I can totally see her doing this in the heat of the moment back then before she stopped caring altogether. Next week I definitely need to go a different direction, though.
Hope you all don’t leave things hanging for too long! Looking forward to the next episode!

Eh, I didn’t find it that funny.
I don’t think that Moonie would do that too but the idea that it was her plan all along is just hilarious.
