A regular bear radiated and mutated, which is what the yao guai is supposed to be.
You can still have both this and the Star Spawn since the latter are like Super Yao Guai.
The word Yaoguai means Monster in Mandarin Chinese, so i just used an african language for this guy, which translates in “Monster Creature”
