By the way, I don’t have anything against others’ opinions, but in case you’re saying that humans are being a distraction from the “world of fantastic inhuman characters,” that’s not true. Whenever there’s a show about a world of fantastic species with non-fantastic species coexisting, for example, the non-fantastic species aren’t being a distraction from the fantastic species at all. And whenever there’s a show about a world of non-fantastic species with fantastic species coexisting, the fantastic species aren’t being a distraction from the non-fantastic species at all, either. My point is, any species - even a fantastic one - would be a distraction, as well, if that’s the case. Lastly, I don’t even recall an actual show about a “pre-teen human handling human peer pressure at his human school” in a “world of fantastic characters.”
Also, this idea the writers had about removing the human parts on every fantastic human species and replacing them with non-human parts - which was silly and pointless, as I pointed out - indicates that humans being a distraction from the “world of fantastic inhuman characters” isn’t the problem. As I said, if there’s a world of fantastic species, then fantastic human species - with their human parts untouched - fit in, as well.
Humans - and other non-fanstastic species, such as woodland animals - aren’t responsible of “taking away the magic vibe,” either. Humans are capable of wielding magical abilities themselves, just like Doctor Strange from MARVEL does, for example. And I would’ve given Megan, Danny, and Molly the capability to use magic, too - such as levitating, teleporting, firing beams, etc - just like the unicorns/alicorns can. Speaking of centaurs, another concept I have in mind for them in My Little Pony is of two other types of centaurs with unicorn horns and pegasus wings.

I can’t tell if you’re just as disappointed as I am, but removing humans as a whole from My Little Pony was beyond frustrating, indeed. And so was this idea about removing the human parts on every fantastical human character and replace them with non-human parts.
Megan, Danny, and Molly would’ve been perfect protagonists in G4 - and the other incarnations of My Little Pony - alongside the Mane Six, and they’d go on adventures and everything together.
If there’s a world of fantastic species, then fantastic human species fit in, as well. Furthermore, humans are animals themselves. They’re scientifically classified as Mammalia in the Animalia kingdom, just like horses - particularly ponies - are.

Humans were removed as a whole to avoid what too many shows do:
-here is a world of FANTASTIC inhuman characters!
-Now forget about them, let’s see how our pre-teen human is handling human peer pressure at his human school.
It’s honestly beyond frustrating and why many current quality shows cut out humans entirely, such as Bluey and Dinosaur Train.

Good point. A lot of other mistakes was made in the rest of the show and the other incarnations of My Little Pony, as well. And G5 is a perfect example of a complete failure. So, all we can say is: “What’s done is done.” If it was up to me, though, I would’ve done better.
What’s also disappointing is that humans - particularly Megan, Danny, and Molly - and mythological human-like species didn’t return in the later incarnations of My Little Pony after G1. At least Lauren Faust’s decision of not including them in MLP: FiM wasn’t because she hated them or anything, it was just simply due to her personal tastes. After Lauren Faust left, the writers could’ve added them later on, but they chose not to for her sake. Either way, none of them returning in MLP: FiM - and the other incarnation of My Little Pony - was a total letdown.
Speaking of mythological human-like species, Tirek didn’t resemble an actual centaur. His face isn’t a human face. Seriously, why did they remove the human parts on every mythological human-like species and replace them with non-human parts? Not only is this idea weird, but it’s also silly and pointless.
Anyway, Danny has proved himself as the most competent character of My Little Pony. He has authority, he is a leader, he is resourceful, he is stalwart, and everything. Furthermore, he always knows what it will take to keep the ponies safe from all kinds of dangers and foes. Most importantly, he is the one who created the Magic of Friendship since he is the original Brony. And he’s a mare magnet who gets all the mares. He and the ponies had a lot in common since the beginning, and they would’ve had the same in the later incarnations of My Little Pony, as well.
So, Danny is undoubtedly the dominent character of My Little Pony, which is why he is meant to be the king - the supreme leader - in each incarnation of the franchise.
Danny was even a father/big brother figure to Spike, too. He helped him feel like a part of the family - as he is himself - in spite of his flaws he had for being a dragon, being a son/little brother figure to him as Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor would’ve done.

Spakle’s Seven has plenty of issues mainly due to the episode being a mishmash of what the voice actresses wanted to have happen to the characters. The plot was a ragtag mess to make all the different things happen.

@Daneasaur
Frankly, Sparkle’s Seven was another Spike-episode where you have to drag everyone else down if you want him to shine - have any “great strengths” - at all. The writers deliberately made Luna feel “underestimated” by making her grumpy over Celestia letting Shining Armor do the honor of reinforcing the castle’s defenses. Wouldn’t a wise, regal princess like her understand that it doesn’t matter who’s reinforcing the castle’s defenses instead of being grumpy over it? Well, that’s because the writers had to do so for Spike’s sake because he just felt like that he wasn’t a part of Twilight’s family, not being her and Shining Armor’s little brother. So, in the end, that episode was a total train-wreck. Luna was literally thrown under the bus by Spike.
I’m convinced that the Spike-fandom is about using Spike as a self-insertion. I mean, it explains all the objections to Spike Abuse in the first place, doesn’t it?

It’s like I keep saying; Spike’s greatest strength is how in-touch with reality he is and how well he can read others.

He could easily tell Luna wanted to get one up on her sister, and best of all, no one would suspect her of sabotaging it, much less working directly with him.
