Those newfangled gizmos they call VCRs were just introduced into Equestria from over in the EqG world, and the Student Six made a home movie about the new Tree of Harmony.
Been obsessed with using GIMP and Clip Studio Paint to make my drawings look like old VHS recordings. But it looks like it doesn’t work as well on flat-color vectors. Oh well.

Okay that honestly occurred to me while I was halfway through finishing this (which took me upwards of about ten minutes.) I will bear that in mind for my next VHS aesthetic pic.
Also I can’t help but feel like that glitch effect where you shift an entire line of pixels to the left or right looks more like what you’d get from a worn-out DVD instead of a VHS tape. Know what I mean?
I’ve got the VCR/camcorder font, I just need an easy way to make or find static to use.
