That’s one solution, but horses don’t really have the same problems with inbreeding that we do. More diverse genetic sequence, you see. If it were strictly for producing children, I don’t see why Mac couldn’t stud both. And assuming that gets too weird, AJ has a whole clan of cousins who I bet would love to help a fellow Apple.

That’s not how she’s telling it. Her main reason for having a family is literally to have someone else to run the farm in the future, that’s the very premise of her reasoning here.  
And as we’ve established that there are actual options to go around this particular issue, it means she picked a stupid specific reason to throw away her chance at happiness with Silverlay.  
I hope Granny Smith tells her as much.

As if having someone esle to run the farm is the same thing as having a lovechild with the one you love. A Little “US” that is running around. The Applejack here wants to be a mother in the traditonal sense but is distort About the fact that she can not have it.  
To believe that the Magicfixguy @Vaidelot (btw I just said Twilight would be the wrong adress for that sort of thing.) is the more sensitive person towards A.J.s feelings. Just, wow.

Pretty sure that Apple Bloom and Big Mac will have no problem continuing the family line. Big Mac is older so if anyone is going to inherit the farm first, it will be him. And he has the tool to help make some kids.
