No, for some reason I can’t get into it.
Is the sound design weird? :3
I could never get into the Art Style series, try Snowpack Park, on the Wii VC, it is one of their weirdest/most interesting games.
At least we got one Skip
gameseries… No, that still sucks. DXIt’s a shame that, to a lottle of people that is going to be a very obscure refference.
Yeah, admittedly, it’s a shame Captain Rainbow never came here, ‘cause it looked like a fun parody of Nintendo’s more obscure characters overall.
Funny thing is, they showed the overweight Little Mac from it (that you have to help get back in shape) is going to be a collectable trophy in the new SSB.
Ye, they preffer FE, usually the Wars series is just a demo for the Fire Emblem engine over there. And I would love Captain Rainbow in smash, I also would, love if they translated the game.
Well, as the guy who wrote that article said, not all Japanese gamers are like that, but it certainly destroys the stereotype that they’re more “polite/less fanatical” then American & Euro gamers. (I mean some of the things they said about Li’l Mac being in SSB were quite cruel.)
Surprisingly, “Captain Rainbow” (a Japan-only Nintendo game) is a popular Japanese fan-wanted character for SSB. I imagine American gamers would be acting the same if he got in.
They hate Advance Wars? I thought they liked it ‘cause it got more prequels/sequels then it did in America. Well, “Fire Emblem” probably would’ve been a better example. Though the FE characters in SSB are usually popular in America, the games are a li’l less popular here. (Though, I hear the 3DS game did quite well.)
Surprisingly, “Balloon Fight” is quite popular in Japan, and that’s why they got a GBColor version of “Balloon Kid” there. They also got a colorized version of “Donkey Kong Land 3.”
Just a little correction, aparently the Japanese hate Advance Wars, and agreed about the maturity of the Japanese gamers, I thought they were bad here.
I think it was released later on the Japanese “Nintendo Power” SNES download service things though. But yeah, some Nintendo games that are popular with Americans aren’t very popular in Japan, (such as Metroid, StarFox, and Punch-Out apparently) while some series VERY popular there are much less popular in America. (Like Custom Robo, Advance Wars, Balloon Fight, and such.) Must be a culture thing.
Also judging by the translated remarks about Little Mac in SSB, (in that link I posted in my previous message) it seems some of the Japanese SSB fans are as immature, and whiny as we are. (One remarks, “No one knows this guy.” lol oh man…)
I think the popularity of the Wii sequel to Punch-Out in America, and such helped get Little Mac in the game.
I never imagined that the japanese didn’t like him, that explains why the SNES game was never released in Japan(at least until the Wii VC), or why it took so long between Super Punch-Out andd Punch-Out!!.
^“SSB fans” I meant… (Why do I always leave out entire words when posting?)
@RIG
That’s so awesome they included that outfit. They also included the wireframe “outfit” from the original arcade game. (Not many know there were 2 Punch-Out arcade games before the NES game.)
Surprisingly, alot of Japanese SSB weren’t to happy about Li’l Mac’s inclusion. Guess he’s only popular in America.
