I like knowing the details of a characters “mundane” life. It’s kinda nice that Despite being magical ponies in a fantasy land,we know know all the occupations and family dynamics of the mane six(mostly).

It’s nice to know Rarity’s role outside of school. We now know she works at Prim Hemline’s boutique, whereas before we were left to speculate if she owned the boutique or simply worked there, and now we know.
