Hope it’s the same for Littlest Pet Shop 2012 as well.
 
If Transformers G1 can be revisited and revived with comics and series, so can MLP and LPS.

Maybe I’m being optimistic or I have that mindset of “I don’t want this show to end” or whatever, but hey, Nostalgia never dies. Even though there’s probably ways to counter argue my comment like “Then the other Generations of MLP should’ve would’ve done that.” But I genuinely think G4 will be back in the future, regardless of how Season 9 ends. Whether it be through the current comics or a web series or with a revival with a new season. I think that’s my mindset since we’re always nostalgic for a certain era like the 90s era of tv and we’re eventually gonna enter the 2000’s era of nostalgia with reboots or revivals of of tv shows or movie or whatever. Once we get to the 2010’s era of nostalgia, we’ll get revivals of shows like Adventure Time, Regular Show, etc. and I think G4 of MLP will be along those shows to be brought back. Or I think maybe G4 will come back in the future since I believe that out of all the generations of MLP that’s came out, other than G1, G4 was the most popular since it brought a lot of audience(mainly the male audience) to the brand. But you know, I could be wrong and I get that, Hasbro will have to keep the wheel spinning with a new generation to bring in more people to the brand. But my gut’s telling me that Hasbro will bring G4 back in the future, they’re not gonna let everyone forget this version. But that’s just my opinion.  
(Wow I realized how much I wrote. But I had to get this out there)

There is no “next time”.
 
The only thing that’s soon left for G4 is… eternal hiatus.
