Let me just break the Genie rules down so you won’t get confused.

Genies can’t kill anyone. (Yet you’d be surprised what you can live through.)
Genies can’t make two people fall in love. (Aladdin’s genie once tried that with the characters from the Twilight saga. It did NOT end well.)
Genies can’t bring back the dead. That happened once before and……… It was bad, it was really bad, let’s just go with that.
