battle specific pokemon use feathers (add 1EV) and use things like protein (add 10 EV’s can use 10 maximum)  
you can also equip the power items to make it go faster and a pokemon with Pokerus will gain EVs twice as fast  
you get 252 EVs in a single stat  
500 something EVs total meaning you can max out two stats and give what remains of the rest to something else  
4 EVs mean one point added to the stat you can add…I’m not doing math but it’s a decent addition to stats  
I think I may be missing something but that’s it basically
 
I wish I had another DS so I could trade my pokemon from Soul Silver and my Black game I had all of them on those and Soul Silver has my Flygon transferred all the way from Sapphire :C

I mean, I already use feathers on my pokemon. I think that’s a part of it.

my EV training is reserved for special pokemon like my Flygon, Whimsicott, and Ampharos u_u  
it’s really too time consuming for me

beer is awful and beer that at the very least is decent is expensive but I don’t even drink alcohol usually (Only when offered by friends) I don’t know why I’m judging it :T

Fortunately, my Volcarona has had very few encounters with Stealth Rock, the one in White 1 that is.
