Played for gags, like many cartoons. When serious moments of conflicts arise, everyone’s power level is in check, and Spike’s fire honestly hasn’t been that strong before.

Really, I just felt it was extremely anti-climatic. The timberwolves are magical beings, they may have their smell, and simulate breathing, but really, it felt stupid, and made Spike looks like he just got himself a full caravan of luck.
It has a breath you can smell, breathing isn’t a stretch. And what else would you expect, Spike to use the Iron Palm Fist?

The thing is made of wood, it doens’t have a lung!
Or spike could have, oh i dunno breathed fire on them … after all they are wood and he is a dragon that breath fire. All this episode did was reinforce my belief that spike is useless
