I’m thinking of a scenario where Gilda returns to ponyville as a (partially) reformed griffin, seeking forgiveness from Rainbow Dash and co, but they’re skeptical and do not forgive her, leading to complications with Gilda, making her heart broken and bitter. It would be up to (insert a character here that would fit) who would have the audacity to actually go against the stream of opinion and get her friends to be forgiving.

That said, wouldn’t it be great if the moral of episode 11 wasn’t something like “everyone can change if you give them the chance” but “some people are just dicks, don’t waste your time on them”?
Ahhh… but that seems very, very unlikely for this show. Still, a man can dream.
Yeah, Twilight’s a total paragon. You’re lucky you weren’t fighting someone like me, becuase if a crazy bitch with a obviously evil amulet were to come at me, my response would have been to telekinetically grab a brick then bash their head until their horn broke in half, soccer moms be damned.
I do freely admit my desire to quickly and gruesomely murder all my opponents is a product of my total cowardice.
Hey, I started that duel out with magic missile, remember?! Twilight’s just too g-rated. I’m the duelist you deserve.
You know nailed the nail on the head. I almost feel like they’re trying to start meshing the Season Openers/Enders with the more slice of life episodes. “Magic Duel” was this done well: It had wizardy and spell casting (despite the fact that even the greatest of unicorns can’t seem cast magic missile) but still focused on day to day morality (forgiveness, work as a team, don’t do drugs, all that shit).
“Flutter On” sounds like the same idea, but as a total fucking train wreck. If they don’t handle Celestia and her actions very carefully, I will fully endorse Cadence other throwing her. How sad is it when you need the Princess of LOVE to kill your enemies?
Unless it’s done very, very well, this upcoming episode just might ruin Discord for me. Half the appeal is that he does all these horrible things and ruins the lives of innocent ponies for his own amusement not because he doesn’t know any better, or it’s in his nature. He does it because he enjoys it. The fact that such a horribly wicked character could exist in an otherwise beautifully innocent world is scary, and that’s what makes him such a great villain. He doesn’t belong.
Besides, Celestia’s holding all the idiot balls by releasing him. Unless the whole Starswirl the Bearded hype is true and she somehow strips him of his powers and turns him back into a pony and decides “Hey, I’m the good guy here. I’ll give him one last chance to clean up his act” then Celestia just became the biggest dumbass in Equestria.
May take a murder or two though…
The Great and Apologetic Trixie is disappointed over how quickly Sono has forgotten how Great and Apologetic Trixie is.
but I would enjoy another Gilda episode…not this season though, not without my Rarity episode
Also, my episode was… sort of this?
