Description
Amid all the murky swamps and brackish pools in The Everfree Forest, there is a lake filled with the purest, most crystal clear water in all of Equestria… but beware, for all who disturb the shimmering surface of the lake will incur the wrath of Isla.
Well, not ‘wrath’ so much as ‘displeasure’. Isla doesn’t like strangers. She’s spent most of her life running and hiding from amateur monster hunters and thrill seekers who think they’ll get a parade if they march into town with her head on a platter. But Isla is surprisingly docile for a kelpie; unlike the rest of her species, Isla doesn’t use her hypnotic voice to lure ponies into her lake to drown and consume them. Frankly, Isla hates the taste of ponies; she uses her songs to attract fish and boar, and only sings to ponies to drive them away from her lake. She can’t afford to let ponies get close to her, physically or emotionally, in case they hurt her.
She really does want a friend, she’s heard great things about them, but she doesn’t know who to trust. Every once in a while, she leaves her lake and swims through the river that runs through the forest, longingly watching from the depths as ponies have picnics and fly kites and skim stones along the river. Isla really does want a friend, but she doesn’t know who to trust.
ps. Kelpies can occasionally assume the size and shape of a normal horse at will, and Isla is no exception. She can maintain this form for an hour on average, or longer, if she drinks water regularly.

Thanks
That’s okay
She is cute indeed, though I am admittedly more a fan of the big meanie kelpies that like the taste of pony :>
Thank you! She’s my special girl. :)
About 250 feet long, but she’s more afraid of you than you are of her. It takes a while to gain her trust, but once you do you’ll have a friend for life.
