Well, Sunset. If we want something done right, we gotta do it ourselves. For instance, there’s a few YouTubers who edited Sweet Victory in the video, meanwhile I made something similar to that in one of my stories

This is one event that will go down in history for all the wrong reasons. Haven’t seen a Halftime show get this much negative attention since the 2004 Halftime with Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake.

Apparently Sweet Victory WAS played, but it didn’t get aired because of copyright issues (Either Viacom, or the record company that owns the rights to Sweet Victory)
 
And even then, it was only played before the actual game started

After Hillenburg’s death, someone made a petition to get Sweet Victory from Band Geeks to be played during the half-time show (Either the original recording, or having Maroon 5 do a cover of it).  
It got a lot of attention, and both the NFL and Maroon 5 kept teasing about it on the lead up to the Super Bowl (Both of them posting GIFs of SpongeBob during the episode Band Geeks).  
Got even more stronger, when Squidward voice actor said on Twitter tat he had recorded some new lines for the half-time show, and that he was going to introduce the half-time acts.
 
Fast forward to the game, and we get a reanimated scene of Band Geeks, with Squidward introducing the performance, that people thought was going to lead into Sweet Victory…  
Only for it to be instead an introduction to Travis Scott and his song Sicko Mode
 
A lot of people where not happy about this, feeling like the whole thing was a giant bait-and-switch.

Amen to this. The whole ‘Sweet Victory’ debacle was honestly a disgrace to Stephen Hillenburg and the wonderful cartoon he created.
