Okay, the inner pedant in me is going to object to the term "proid". I gather it's supposed to be a portmanteau of "pony" and "droid", but "droid" is short for "android", from the Greek root _*andro-_* meaning human-like.


 
A robot pony would be a "hippoid" (from *hippo-*, meaning horse-like.)
