Yeah, Nyx is right on this one, her and castles haven’t had a good track record so far:
 
*Emerged from Luna to create Nightmare Moon, and was banished into the Moon for 1000 years after fighting Celestia in their royal palace.  
*Came back 1000 years later and was stripped apart from Luna inside the ruins of the same royal palace.  
*After being resurrected by a Cult, was tricked into going into the same castle again by Diamond Tiara, and remembered the last moments before her first “death”.  
*Brought to Canterlot against her will by Celestia and delivered unknowingly into the very hooves of the Children of Nightmare who gave her the last traces of her power once again.  
*Sealed away Celestia and Luna into the Sun and Moon and ruled over a slowly-freezing Equestria for several weeks from Nightstone Castle, where among things her mother and best friends were imprisoned as an alternative to being outright executed, told what she can and cannot do despite being the ruler of Equestria, and was completely miserable.  
*Faced off against Spell Nexus who was possessed by the Inner Demons of Nightmare Moons malice that threatened to devour Nyx to become whole again.  
*Returned the Children of Nightmares free will and forced herself into a self-imposed exile within her dilapidated Nightstone Castle as punishment for her own Past Sins.  
*After being Forgiven by the Princesses, was turned into stone by a Cockatrice for several years by an unrepentive former Child of Nightmare with the intent on erasing everything to do with Nyx ever existing with his end game being to leave her petrified body to be buried in the frozen tundra for all time, all the while her mother and brother were off freeing the Crystal Empire, which itself is a gigantic crystal castle spire.
