It’s still Suri’s word against the mane 6. It’s not a matter of being nice it could be for protection or because the employer just asked. I guess we should just agree to disagree.
Suri could easily dismiss that claims as slander of a resentful former employee and a jealous rival.
I also don´t think that Coco would want to harm Suri; she is just too nice for that.
As long as Suri stays away from Rarity and Coco all three of them should be fine.
Suri’s rumors wouldn’t stand up to those formed by Coco who is sided with the mane 6. I find it very unlikely Coco wouldn’t tell her employer about her past work experience. It doesn’t have to be for revenge.

And Suri could easily counter with some rumours of her own.
I think Coco just let the issue be and stayed away from Suri from that day on.
She is too nice to seek revenge anyway.
But they didn’t need proof for the rest of equestria to harm Trixie’s reputation. Again, rumors are easy to spread especially by someone allied with the mane 6.
We would certainly believe the Mane 6.
The ponies of Manehattan would very likely take Suris word over theirs (after all Suri showed Raritys designs first).
The Mane 6 had similar problems with Gladmane, Flim and Flam and needed proof.
Then it’s Suri’s word against Coco’s, who is allied with the mane 6. Who are they gonna believe?

Coco may have not liked it but she still went along with Suri (until Rarity showed her a better way)
She doesn’t need proof for people to believe it. The masses will believe anything, especially if they are sided with the mane 6. Also how would she incriminate herself?
She has no proof.
And even if she had she would also have to incriminate herself.
And you can bet your bottom dollar Coco will tell her new employers about her past ‘work experience’.

Suri was not caught.
As far as the public knows she did nothing wrong.
People talk. Just like how Trixie became a pariah, so would Suri.
Suri was never caught.
She just didn´t won the first place.
She legit got caught cheating in an event held by a well known seamstress. Word is sure to get around. She’s screwed for life unless she like gets Rarity to put a good word in for her or something. Not sure what she’s doing in the picture but even if she isn’t homeless now, she either will be after running out of money, or will be working cheap labor for the rest of her life.

Actually Suri seems to be doing great.
Why would her career be in shreds?
There is no reason for her to be homeless and being treated like trash.
And there is the potential for a great redemption.
