They both have their strengths and weaknesses, though from what I know about the manga/Brotherhood (haven’t read/seen it, but I know a lot of details thanks to TV Tropes), I think I prefer the first anime…
(Yes, I’m well aware I’m reviving a dead, year-old argument)
You like it, good for you. Move on.
Saying it unoriginal is down right retarded.
Like I said, there are lots of Anime series that differ from their Manga of origin, and they can be enjoyable especially when they are unpredictable like that. Say what you want about the first anime, but at least they took risks with, it felt like they were trying to take a different approach in the story (hell, Arakawa seems to have liked the changes). Brotherhood felt like a marketing stunt, an unoriginal series for people who were too lazy to pick up the Manga and read it.
>First anime was too ‘Disney’ in spirit
>Second anime kicked so much arse
>Evilton’s argument is invalid.
If I wanted to know what happened in the Manga, I would read the fucking Manga (which I did and recommend y’all to).
>calling Brotherhood unnecessary.
Fuck you. I liked seeing the later manga chapters adapted.
And then they fail, horribly.
And then Apple Bloom gets fused to the family tractor and Applejack gets steampunk prosthetics.
And then their father was immortal or something, I dunno.
And then things get messy with the continuity.
