That is a very nice swimsuit design. It fully covers the front while being fully open on the back.
 
It makes sense to have them like this for the ponies, because there are ones with wings, and so you can also fit the tail through. It cuts a bit too low as there’s a little bit of butt crack, but that’s no issue though.
