Its a fanatsy picture. Anime is based off fantasies, just as we are watching a cartoon about multi-coloured ponies going on adventures of friendship. if I wanted a ‘realistic’ picture, I would have commissioned something with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in mind. In this case, though, Kloud was streaming Highschool of the Dead, and I though this comission diea would be fun.

a real mini_gun (yes there is a man portable one) weighs about 40 or 50 lbs, but the military found its more practicle as a vehicle mounted unit

It’s a parody of a manga called Highschool of the Dead. Reality does not readily apply to that series.
 
I only read a couple of the chapters but I wouldn’t be surprised if later on one of them was lugging around a gatling gun casually.

In Terminator 2, the minigun Schwarzenegger used was heavily stripped down and was powered by an electrical outlet.
 
I’m not sorry to burst your bubble. It’d take a powered exoskeleton to let you swing something that big around with the precision needed to actually use it properly.
