The season of giving continues with another Season 8.5 Holiday Gift! Today’s comic follows everyone’s favorite dragon Spike as he tries to get a gift for a very special pony in his life… specifically, just ONE special pony in particular. Screw the other 5, I guess. But little Spike must learn that not everything can go according to plan…

I’m actually a little surprised something like this DIDN’T happen in the actual special; drawing your own name is the bane of all Secret Santa-type arrangements such as this one, and if I did the math correctly then there’s about a 2 out of 3 chance that at least one pony/dragon would’ve drawn their own name and needed to trade anyway. Fiction is weird sometimes.
