Really? I don’t get the point? Even though I have let offensive Twilight posts slide by even when people have reported them in the past, for that very reason? But the site does not publish moderator decisions like that, so it was convenient for you to make trollish conclusions like that.
 
And you know why it was worded like that? Because just a few posts before, another pedophilia joke was posted that was more graphic, albeit apparently from another poster (which is likely just a sockpuppet). If it’s legal in the UK, then I could probably allow it because it is no worse than what I’d read on 4chan and the like. However, people were breathing down my neck hard about this after the first pedophilia joke was made, and after self-deliberation, I merely acted out of what I thought would keep the site safe. Let me emphasize this was posted shortly after another pedophilia joke, so my suspicion meter started to rise; this is the reason for the ban threat.
 
I did not remove it just because it was in poor taste. I allow poor taste here all the time and have gotten flack for that. I removed it because lolicon is not allowed here for legal reasons, and I believed graphical descriptions count. Admittedly, this one was not quite as graphic as the previous, but it still implied sex with minors.
 
I like how I am arguably one of the more lenient moderators and am thus being specifically attacked here. I am also pretty sure that if I left those pictures alone, they would have ended up flooding the place, and likely this poster or one of his friends would have called the entire mod team pedophiles for allowing it. This is because the OP is probably one of the trolls who have been targeting this site for a while.

Yes, I’ve been a bit strict on removing the word in the past, but now I just delete and pm a warning if it’s not a blatant insult.
 
I would like to point out that even if the usage of ‘fag’ on the internet is oversaturated, it still carries the weight of its most familiar meaning. That won’t change anytime soon, so I believe it’s better to just avoid using it all together.

I do Nazi what the problem is with Holocaust jokes, Anne Frankly something being “not cool” doesn’t mean it should be banned. Otherwise, we get into territory like banning John Joseco for making rape jokes, and that kind of censorship is out of Mein Kampfort zone.

Yeah, Holocaust jokes are not cool. About the only time I make any nazi related jokes is when they’re a little more… Cathartic. When they’re making jabs at the perpetrators. That’s just me though.

TLL misinterpreted some rulings that weren’t all that well stated and went a teensy bit overboard. That should be resolved.
 
We do not like the continued use of terms that have a blatant derrogatory origin, but in general are able to distinguish between colloquial or jokey use, and use as an insult. That said, there are few circumstances where the use of those terms isn’t meant as an insult.

Ah good to see some of the other users have taken to reporting some of the holocaust images.

There are a significant number of images related to those events still here. The ones we delete tend to be the ones specifically meant to piss people off, or make fun of people as the suffer and die.
 
And as explicitly stated, if you think we’re wrong you can contact us. But be very aware that we’re people with jobs and lives outside this site, so we’re not exactly going to trip over ourselves in a rush to review the deletion of a joke about raping infants.

One thing I would like cleared up officialy is the whole “n-word privileges” debate that came up a couple months ago. Words like “nigger” and “faggot” and other group slurs get used a lot, and the mods are pretty inconsistent about punishing it: Lampman has a tendency to delete sny comment containing the word faggot at least in the past, and I’m not sure if it got resolved. Like, if it’s not okay, you should probably ask Niggertron to change his name.

I may not be clear, I guess. If someone tells an “offensive joke”, there’s a difference between it being a generic dark joke and it being something he’s telling specifically because he knows it’s going to piss someone off. There is a difference.
 
Say, a rape joke; there’s loads of those around here we don’t even think of touching. But a rape joke that’s aimed at one particular person or set of persons, and not meant to be funny at all to them, that’ll get wiped.

There’s a lot of shit we allow that is offensive, but the “artist” or uploader weren’t specifically trying to piss people off. When we can clearly see that something’s going into the trolling side of things and just trying to stir up drama, we discuss it with the mods present and delete if we decide it’s for the best.

My sensibilities and your sensibilities have nothing to do with this. If the rules allow it, it should remain. If people don’t want it, then the rules should be changed and the community move around as needed.
 
Applying some sort of standard because people find it offensive but excluding an equally offensive material because those in control don’t is something I can’t really be silent about.

@BP: I certainly don’t view Derpy as being ableist as someone who has worked with and been around mentally handicapped people for a while. Ditzy, sure. But in most people’s common sense worldview (not counting the overly-political-correct worldview, which would rule out maybe 50% of the content we host) Derpy isn’t offensive.
